Okeechobee Courthouse

No Chiller, No Court.

How Mid-State kept justice in session with a rooftop chiller install and a seamless transition plan.

Okeechobee Courthouse

Overview

The Okeechobee Courthouse needed a new rooftop air-cooled chiller installed on its third-story roof. Cooling could not be disrupted, or courtroom activity would grind to a halt.

Challenge

Lifting equipment to the roof required crane access, staging, and safe coordination around an active courthouse—all while keeping indoor temperatures stable.

Our Solution

Mid-State installed a temporary chiller to ensure cooling throughout the swap, then completed a safe rooftop installation with crane support—all coordinated with building operations to avoid disruption.

Results

• New Trane chiller installed on a 3-story roof • Temporary chiller maintained uninterrupted operation • Project completed safely and on schedule
