Calvary Chapel Melbourne

Five Buildings. One Seamless System.

How Mid-State installed a campus-wide chilled water plant and custom air mixer boxes without interrupting school or worship.

Calvary Chapel Melbourne

Overview

Calvary Chapel’s growing campus needed a new chilled water plant to serve five buildings—including a church, school, and admin offices. Mid-State was tasked with a complete underground piping installation, cooling towers, and new outside air mixer boxes.

Challenge

The school and church remained fully occupied throughout construction. All system tie-ins had to be scheduled around occupancy schedules—including evenings, weekends, and school breaks.

Our Solution

Mid-State performed directional boring for over 1.5 miles of chilled water piping, scanning for underground utilities and working around active areas. Custom aluminum outside air mixer boxes were fabricated in-house to replace rotted units and tie into existing systems.

Results

• New cooling towers and underground piping serving five buildings • Dual-system redundancy installed for 24/7 reliability • Custom mixer boxes built and installed in 4–5 weeks (vs. 3–4 months typical) • All work completed without interrupting campus operations
