Walmart Distribution Center

Center of the Building. Middle of the Night. No Problem.

How Mid-State replaced four massive exhaust fans in the middle of a 24/7 facility—without slowing down operations.

Walmart Distribution Center

Overview

Walmart’s central Florida distribution facility needed to replace four roof-mounted exhaust fans located at the heart of their massive warehouse. Any disruption would impact shipping and logistics.

Challenge

The location of the fans required large crane access directly over the core of the building. Installation had to happen overnight to avoid disrupting 24-hour operations.

Our Solution

Mid-State coordinated crane lifts, labor, and equipment delivery in a tight overnight window. Fans were pre-positioned and the lift team worked with surgical precision to remove and replace each unit while the building remained operational.

Results

• All four fans replaced during overnight shutdowns • Zero interruption to shipping or operations • Work completed safely and on schedule
